Sara Bannister

A dark whodunnit with an emotional punch thanks to brilliant, tense, acting especially from Kate Winslet. Winslet's phenomenal performance is totally convincing, and is enhanced by the cast around her. Without giving away spoilers, I couldn't help but feel anger for how young women were treated by the men in this fictional town, and some of the women. But I loved it when Mare confronted the suspects, and showed her incredulity, rage and disappointment with them. This show strongly reminded me of Twin Peaks, the original early 90s series.
