Doreen Castles

Hi my name is Doreen and I am an alcoholic. I was born and raised in Napa and moved back to Tucon, where I had lived for 20 of my more than 30 years of drinking, to get sober. It was a wonderful suprise when I came across the show "Mom". I was just getting sober when your show was on its 3rd season. I thought it funny and fun to watch due it's being in Napa. But I only now understand the VERY REAL depiction of Women in recovery. It seems to show, through the diverse characters, the troubles and self actualization the steps and slow and painful, but sure progression of recovery. Not unlike A.A. meetings, I see myself in the women that the characters portray.
