This is a stinker. The previous Harlan Coben mini-series - The Stranger - was well plotted, scripted and decently acted. But Stay Close fails on all three aspects. The script and direction are particularly bad. The actors are all B list but capable of a good performance if they could only be given decent lines, plausible plot etc.

Very disappointed in this, after loving many of William Boyd’s other books. It is flat and dull with far too much boring description of buildings and scenery and hardly any deeper exploration of the emotional or psychological aspects of the characters.
