I did not watch Smallville, but generally like Superman's story and will give most Superman related shows a try. For Superman & Lois, I was not impressed. It is depressing, the underlying storylines don't feel like they will truly deliver and there are clear gaps in the writing, not to mention the dark color scheme makes it hard to focus on a scene. I know the actress that plays Lois is loved by her fans but I don't see the draw. I don't mind the kids but I don't agree with giving one a mental disability. Also don't like giving one kid powers. Hoping the other child will have powers by the end of the season......... why did they show him break a rope with a football as a child if they weren't implying powers? In general. I see too many missed opportunities and not enough superman to make this show anything other than a standard CW teen angst series......and we already have ENOUGH of those.
