I once had someone say to me that I was only watching the show “for the lesbians”. That’s what small-minded people say. For anyone that hasn’t seen this show, it’s absolutely incredible from start to finish. It’s about friendship, family and betrayal. It’s about finding out who you really are and what you can become in order to survive. It’s about love. It’s about heartbreak. It’s about injustices within the prison system. It’s about mental health. It’s about meeting people from all walks of life. It’s about overcoming adversity, racism, sexism, transphobia. And it’s about everything else in between. The acting is phenomenal from everyone associated with the show & the directing is next level. I was heartbroken to say goodbye to Litchfield, but can easily say it’s one of the greatest shows of all time!
