Captured the essence of the original movie in my eyes. There were obviously some down falls but the scenes looked ace and if they held too true to the original it may not get a new audience. I really enjoyed watching this series and would recommend it. I watched the new he-man episodes and a new generation seemed to enjoy it but the 80's kids were in uproar that it wasn't the same. Nostalgia has a lot to play in that. Some scenes felt forced in the love angst and yes some scenes lost the sense of urgency of the quest but overall it did seem to be an enjoyable watch. It is becoming more and more difficult to find good fantasy to watch as i've watched most everything else and the haters just mean there will be no more content ti watch in the future as there will only ever be 1 season series.
