beautifully colourfully made and great acting for the “parts” . It made me miss a lot Johnny Depp’s Wonka, with its quirkiness and extra flavour which gave more depth and absorption. The extra flavour in a character or a film to me is 5 stars.. as in Depp’s Wonka there was a freshness and slight weirdness brought to the table which connects with life outside the film more in a fun way !

I enjoyed it ! 2 films in on 15 hours of plane travel and this was my choice. Sometimes I don’t enjoy films on the plane so much due to clarity of the screen. Regardless of the screen I enjoyed this film. It has been a while since I saw the other x-men movies so can’t compare intelligence/ script subtleties. What I love about some films is being taken on an enjoyable/ interesting journey where the issue of when will this be over doesn’t come up. This for me was one of those films. I always enjoy watching James McAvoy performance, and having just seen Cyrano this was particularly interesting to see. There was one actors American accent/ voice which I found weird and was surprised vocal coaching didn’t help or why she needed an American accent because it sounded weird. Anyway I prefer the film to the final Avengers!
