The title does not work. Has nothing to do with anyone's mother. It seemed that the husband was Satan or one of his worshippers who was there to break his wife's spirit or took pleasure in torturing here over and over. He was a stupid inconsiderate man. The story made no sense. Jennifer was great but the movie sucked.
