I had certain expectations from the books and other video presentations based on the books. That was the wrong way to approach it. Carrot was as expected. Vimes was a little rougher than I expected but I can see the path he will take once he sobers up. Cherry was far too tall for a dwarf. Angua was a lot smaller than I expected, (and nothing like the other movies.) CMOT was unexpected and didn't seem as entrepreneurial. Nobby was missing. Some of the modern touches were annoying until explained. The story seemed to be a mix of at least three, just kind of thrown together, as if trying to hit too many points in one episode. I am seeing other storylines mixed into the upcoming episodes. (Doesn't he look elvish to you?) All that said, once you get into the story, it was quite enjoyable and I am looking forward to the series maturing. Lady Sibyl is terrific.
