AT EASE dealt with an age old script in a really contemporary way. The writers and director knew how to bring tension to the front and eventually find a way to make it palatable for the onlooker.
The main actors were surely meant to be together if you see them as humans with a strong emotional bond undiminished by the 3 yr separation. Kara (Hannah Elizabeth Smith) was totally confused by her decision about marriage to a man she evidently didn't truly love. Her former boyfriend Duncan (Adam Cole) was an elegant understated foil to her impetuous actions.
Using an actual death (the run over cat) as a symbolic end to one phase of their lives was perfect cinema. Kudos to all
