Don't listen to the main critics (IGN, Gamespot, etc.) If you enjoyed the original, this is everything you'd want from a remake and a little more. It's simple, nothing fantastic or groundbreaking. Just good clean fun to turn your brain off and relive some memories through a new, high definition lense. If you liked the original, you'll probably like this too. Very faithful to the original with some good quality of life changes. Pretty much everything a remake should be. (And the voice acting is seriously great, as a grown adult I found myself laughing quite a bit at jokes I didn't get as a kid.)
