This is without a doubt the worse movie in the series. Corey, the new character was never likeable and the romance between him and Laurie's granddaughter was extremely forced. Plus, the extremely weird and awkward relationship he has with his mother. I understand they wanted to push Corey into become a Michael Myers-esk killer but everything that happens to him in the movie feels very forced and badly portrayed.
What made me give up on the movie was in the final act with Corey, making the entire first hour and a half completely worthless.
A saving grace though, was the only fight between Michael and Laurie (this being the really only fight Michael has)
I feel like they could have spread this over the first two movies as a background side plot. All I was thinking of during the movie was: "this is the best script they could come up with?"
If I saw this movie in cinemas I would've left. I understood the subtext of this film that evil takes any shape but it was delivered horribly.
I have read reviews of people saying the twist was amazing but I have to ask; what twist? Everything felt beyond obvious except the ending Corey scene, but that wasn't a good twist, it was the worst move in Halloween history.
All in all, if you haven't seen this movie, make up your own ending as it will be better than what this disaster of a film tried to do.
I wish I didn't see it.
