It, The King, did not seem to be as much about Elvis as it was about rock and roll originating from the poor black region of Mississippi where it’s generally known as the place where the birth of the blues began. True or not the film did not take it home. Most people might believe Elvis is what is depicted in this film as a talented artist and successful entertainer(via a sleepy promoter) who always presented himself as a nice and caring person but was also a victim of the destructive results of fame and fortune. One reference within the film tries to make a point however they failed; that Elvis was successful only because he took advantage of the black people’s blues to become a success. He did sing some black blues but his performance was all original in style and delivery! Who can not love the film?
