absolute BANGER. I read it when I was about eight or nine and I have reread it about six times at LEAST during the past seven years. I love this book. it's beautiful, emotional, heartwarming, and truly inspiring. also, I'm pretty sure the main kids are neurodivergent. fight me. I will take that claim to the grave. love this book, will always love this book. wonderful plot, realistic writing (slang is a bit dated since it was made a while ago), and relatable characters that will make you happy, sad, angry, down right exasperated, and most of all compassionate for these fictional fiesty kids fighting for their mountain ^^ 11/10 <3
