Here we are in 2022 and I will say that this game has lots of stuff to play with if you’re going in free to play, BUT you will be so far behind and not understand anything going on. The story has been maddening circular for many years now and so many loose threads laid around that you might as well burn them. Recycled content. Re skinned themes. And now with the latest fiasco of company mismanagement, employee abuse from both within the business and outside sources, and lack of information and lack of acknowledgment of feedback, here we are. Pvp will stomp new players and make them avoid it forever since there is no skill based matchmaking. There is no dedicated server so de syncing and latency errors plaque the game constantly. But, the game is unique under all this dead weight. There is a spark of individuality and obviously has been enough to make it last this long. But like everything that ages, Destiny 2 should’ve been retired many years ago and undated heavily into Destiny 3 so the devs could actually adapt to coding they understand and not make up excuses as to why they can’t do certain thing when obviously they can.
