Visually delicious, Nightmare Alley told an interesting story with a clever gotcha moment at the end. Would have preferred the carnival setting to go on and on rather than the middle of the movie lingering in the bougie hotel and psychiatrist office for an hour of tedious banter between lead actors Cate Blanchett and Bradley Cooper. Terrific actors but felt gratuitous as the movie was littered with stars that seemed to have more interesting stories to tell. Good movie but not the best of the year in my opinion.
