The narrative is less than compelling because there is nothing compelling about the two leading characters. Either due to bad writing, bad directing, bad acting or a combination of all three, it was difficult to feel that anything happening to them or between them mattered. It takes more than special effects to create a spell-binding movie. A big disappointment, given all the hype.
