Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark was a complete and utter disappointment. Even the heaping spoonfuls of nostalgia and love I have for a book so integral to both my youth and love of horror can't sweeten this bitter, rancid concoction of unimaginative plot, poor story selection, jarring continuity editing errors, stupefying close-up shots, terrible acting, and a ridiculously laughable (if there is truly a just and loving God) set up for a sequel I can only hope never sees fruition.
