Excellent movie touching on driven talent, loss, friendship, conflicts over sexuality, platonic love, loyalty, destructive obsession, humour, family tension, racism, ambition and exceptional musical performance. Simplified but excellent. Exceptional acting and sensitive portrayal. See this film.

Very well written, directed and well acted. Avoided sentimentality, funny, unpredictable with all the characters credible and easy to invest in. What more can you want out of a film!

Excellent writing,acting and beautiful graceful colour and movement, sensual. Astonishingly credible characters well drawn. A fitting score. It would be interesting to imagine a gender role reversal with the same theme. Held my attention and absorbed throughout .
