As a life long Star Wars fan, I was extremely hurt and disappointed with the Last Jedi. It’s obvious Disney listened to fans (not the critics) and attempted to correct their mistakes with The Rise of Skywalker. Let’s face it, there is no cohesion or originality between the three films. However, this final film actually feels like the old school Star Wars. I cared about the characters, the PC activism was kept to a minimum, I laughed, got emotional, and felt good when it ended. JJ did a good job picking up the pieces. Now... let’s just hope Disney decides to create a start-to-finish plot before they decide to make another Trilogy of films.

Only 3 episodes in and it feels like they are doing to Obi-Wan what they did to Luke in The Last Jedi. Our hero is now depressed and pathetic. That’s not fun at all. I do like the idea of seeing more Vader, but in this context it just feels cruel and depressing. Did we really need a whole Vader/Obi-wan expanded story before their “long awaited meeting” in A New Hope? How does that scene make any sense now? This show would be better if it was just about Vader and the Inquisitors hunting down Jedi. Obi-Wan could have made a cameo at the end like Vader did in Rogue One. Instead we get the pleasure of seeing our old friend get tortured and act like a coward. Hope it gets better, I don’t like it very much so far. On another note…… please please please Disney, don’t make Willow and Madmartigan old miserable disgruntled cowards too.
