The hosts of this show were disrespectful and made several very rude comments to the restaurant owners. These hosts, the “professionals”, completely changed the restaurant menus after insulting the food that the owners were so proud of and had made themselves. It is clear the “professional” chef actually has very little experience. The “interior decorator” completely changed specifically what the restaurant owners liked about their restaurant and filled it with cheap fixes like brick wallpaper. The hosts are privileged, shallow, and just seem to want to travel and have their travel expenses paid for, not actually help out family owned restaurants. I was curious and looked up one of the family owned restaurants they helped and it actually permanently closed down after their remodel was done due to the decreased quality of service, increased prices. Very sad. The hosts did nothing to collaborate with the owners to see what would work in their budget, train for the culinary staff, or offer sustainable ideas that wouldn’t tank their restaurant. I would not recommend this show.
