The Pianist is one of those rare films that you dont just watch, you experience. It truly captures the horrors of war, the Holocaust and the power that we as humans have to overcome anything if we have the will to live. Polanski also does what very few films I've ever seen do, he makes the violence and horrors of war genuinely shocking.
