We too become ghosts, because--unseen and motionless--we drift through this film looking over the shoulder of a ghost whose spirit is marooned on an island just outside of time. Observers. Existing outside the plot. Our only connection, the extent to which we empathically feel what we imagine the ghost to feel. Really a lovely and ethereal movie.
