As an artist working around Seed Conservation Science on residencies since 2010 & launching SeedArtLab in Brisbane, Australia several years later to further education and art production celebrating seed & bio cultural diversity I have scoured a great many books on seeds over the past 13 years.
The Age of Seeds is the first text only book i’ve been captivated by & found highly accessible despite the complexity of the subject.
For those similarly fascinated by seeds one is often drawn to books featuring diagrams, botanical drawings & documents, maps, photographs, artworks - ie material that expands one’s capacity to reflect in a variety of ways.
This book doesn’t need to rely on any of the above to hold one’s attention… so to my mind it’s a remarkably rewarding read.
