Firstly, Christopher Hitchens voice is cool and soothing. I listen to this at night and it helps me sleep. I’m from the UK, not particularly well educated, and I’m concerned about mass and illegal migration of mainly Muslim men. This seems to be a subject that comes up a lot at social gatherings and when expressing my views people have labelled me racist, right wing and Islamaphobic. The fact that Im middle aged, bald, have a beer belly and an England tattoo doesn’t help. Feeling stereotyped, upset and frustrated i wanted to present my views to the woke brigade in a more structured and educated manner.
Therefore i decided to do some research and found that there is a whole host of academics with similar views. Feeling somewhat vindicated i purchased this audio book (yes reading isn’t my strong point). Having, listened to this book at least 30 times, I am now much more educated and can present my arguments in a well structured concise manner backed up by examples, smart questions, and anecdotes of terrible events perpetrated by the religious. So if like me you hate religion particularly Islam, which Hitchens labels the worst. Then this is the book for you.
PS Im now mainly on my own at parties
