I liked this show a lot however I can’t bring myself to say I love it. The plot of the story is so interesting a black monster hunter( I wish they used a different term but it's fine) falls in love with a white vampire. The plot makes you say oh this should be good and for the most part, it is. Their relationship is beautiful I kinda wish they could have found out later in the show what each other are and have a fight about lying to add a bit more depth but it’s good. My problems with the show are major and minor. A minor problem is the special effects or CGI looks very fake and it feels a little rushed and sloppy but I don’t know if that’s because of budget or whatever. A major problem I have is almost all the characters feel fake and feel like they are acting. The emotional scene didn’t do much for me and I can’t bring myself to care enough about these characters because they feel fake even though I want them to be happy. The most emotion I felt was at the end of the show with Cal’s mom and Theo because you can tell they are very close and really love each other. I think my biggest complaint is there wasn’t enough time with each character to explore them, their personal struggles, and the deeper meaning of their relationship with other characters. I really hope the creators reads these comments and do the best they can to make the show better. Overall the show is good and hopefully, the creators keep building. If you’re thinking about watching give it a try because it’s worth the watch but not a masterpiece. But I very much appreciate the hard work of the actors, directors, and everyone that helped make it put in, and can’t wait for season 2.
