This is an excellent movie!!! "Armageddon" with its campy plot and Aerosmith soundtrack cannot compare to this even though it did do better at the box office. "Deep Impact" is much more accurate and intellectual in depicting a very possible doomsday scenario. This movie is a real "tear-jerker" because it is so believable. The musical score really adds to this outstanding presentation depicting a comet striking the earth. The acting is not over the top like in "Armageddon". I have watched this movie a number of times and anticipate that it is destined to become a classic years from now. I give (2) thumbs way up for this very enjoyable "end of the world" disaster movie. The most frightening aspect of this movie is that the dinosaurs were wiped out for real over 65 million years ago, and we are next in line!!! An E.L.E. may be coming sooner than you think.
