Also one of the most visually beautiful movies ever. A truly artistic work that is also entertaining and hilarious. There are many layers to it. This movie understands the spiritual condition of America. You can watch this movie over and over and never get bored of it. My favorite movie of all time. If you are sick of formulaic, cliche and shallow movies, watch this movie. It is anything but shallow. This movie really exists in a category of its own. I cannot compare it to anything. All I can say is, I wish there were more movies like this. It so effectively uses the medium of film to grapple with deep questions at the core of the human condition. The people who give it poor reviews are probably just not very intelligent or appreciative of true art.
