Having talking dogs and using the dog Reggie, played by Will Ferrell as the narrator was riveting, at first. Really entertaining. But this could have been a great movie for kids but it’s too off-color. The human villain showed a sexual act that was unnecessary: we know Scrooge is a terrible man but we don’t see him looking at kiddy porn.We know he was a mean person. I liked the Jamie Fox character of the rough around the edges dog, and the other dog characters. The sexual stereotypes about dogs was cruel, really a hate crime. Anyway, it could have been a good, great even, heartwarming, triumph over evil and the power of friendship and community type movie, but it lost that because it got too smutty and downright stupid. I give it a 2.75
