It’s a TELL DONT SHOW show. I don’t know where to start. Is not bad but is not good. I might be biased from the movies but nonetheless it is cringe, dialogue doesn’t make sense, social cues are heavily missed and misinterpreted, plot is slow and revolves around too much dialogue yet when there are fight scenes they are anticlimactic and extremely fast. Not to mention during the first episodes all enemies spend an hour on nonsense monologues and look like divorced single soccer moms (Mrs. Dodds, the algebra teacher, Medusa, the woman in the train). It also losses its immersiveness by the useless inclusiveness, e.g. a girl on a wheelchair selected as a potential warrior for Percy’s quest? Unrealistic I don’t wanna have to be someone specifically to relate myself to them. Be realistic to the fictional world. BUT let’s talk about Annabeth, first of all the race swap is so stupidly unnecessary, secondly her character seems the total opposite from what she would call herself “daughter of Athena” she is hesitant, weak, non menacing, cringe, and dwells a lot in sentimental emotional dialogue. I’m beginning for a recast of annabeth!! I think the cast of Percy and Grover are perfect I like them both playing their respective roles. Thumbs of for that. But the rest big L!!!!
