Wait for it to be able to be rented. What a waste of money at the box office. I was so excited since this was our first movie after COVID at the theatre. Disappointment. So much money that I didn’t even enjoy the movie. I wished that it was a discounted night, it would make me feel better. Such potential and it fell sooooo short. The Villain, clearly not a villain. Fight scenes: terrible. Slow motion was comical and bad. The only one I enjoyed was the bus incident. Only one. Mystical creatures. When the characters first get to them, it simply screams: POKÉMON. Another disappointment. Just odd and unimaginative. Ben Kingsley. Just odd. What a waste of his talent, embarrassing actually. The villain just kept only him as a jester? And I don’t understand why he could understand the creature but the two that are bloodlines from the village could not understand what the creature said. It was such an odd character to this movie and did nothing at all to make this movie better. Awful. “Katy” not a fit for this movie. Her role was way too big in the purpose of the movie. I feel like Marvel is trying to make more comical edges to there movies and it doesn’t work. The Black panther managed to do comedy more perfectly balanced. This was just not serious enough. Some people said the acting was bad from major actors but I do feel that the Shang-chi and his sister were very good. You can’t blame them for the terrible script. I wanted to like this movie. I was excited for the Asian influences Marvel opportunity.
