Before that, don't watch this if you expect something like any other alien movies with actions, violence, or if your definition of movie is to always have explanation and answers then pls, just skip it.
I've watched this movie on 2016 but rewatched it again this year. I found myself several times in tears because it deeply connects to me emotionally. The stigma of aliens are enemies in almost every movies is what makes this movie and the others different. Arrival makes their audience think, feel, for the humanity and the aliens. They're not your typical aliens wiping away human race, no. Once you immerse yourself into the movies, start finding the connections and meaning in every scene, you'd know this movie is actually a 10/10. Again, this movie is very thought provoking, at the same time, emotional. Don't expect this movie to be like your typical colorful happy ending and easier to understand movies.
