An astoundingly beautiful album. The Derelict echoes parts of my life story, is a fine use of banjo in rock and roll and an autobiographical vignette. Revelation is a lovely bit of spiritual wonder, with gorgeous expressions of Fleetwood's drums and percussion and McVie’s bass.
Christine Mcvie’s Did You Ever Love Me? Makes me remember women who have been a part of my life in my past with kindness and a wistful memory of time past. Did I really date that brilliant, gorgeous, astounding woman and not tell her I loved her? As powerful as Willy Nelson’s Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, but without so much sorrow for lost youth.
Most of the rest of the album is equally fine, “Look where the rose has grown! And Walker is great, Bob Welch one of my favorites, and the McVies and Mick Fleetwood in fine, powerful, understated excellence throughout. And just a touch of Peter Green and his Les Paul. One of my very favorite albums. Wonderful production, recording and mixing. Highly recommended
