It felt like they made this movie because somebody thought they would have fun with special effects and zach efron wanted to dip his feet into the thriller genre. Otherwise I see no reason for the movie to exist, honestly. The characters were extremely one dimensional (each actor had between 1 and 3 facial expressions over the entire duration of the film), and the plot was pretty predictable. Not a drop of suspense or shock, really. Efron's character was a weaker carbon copy of the lead actress in the movie 'Push', and they even called his power (which was identical except more costly to use) 'the push.'
The only redeeming thing about this movie is that we know it isn't straight plagiarism because it's based on an existing novel. Hard pass on this one folks
