*spoilers*
To me the movie was boring and predictable. Could be fun for the younger audiences (i'm just 20 tho).
I loved Barbie houses and their furniture. Want one of those beds for myself. Real Barbie dolls and creators references were nice but they could've been shown more in the movie. Their potential was not used here.
I expected much more comments on today's societal issues but they were treated as little jokes with nothing added or changed. Similar with action - no situation was resolved or even evolved enough so that you could get interested.
You might think there were changes happening in Barbieworld, right? Well Kens' patriarchy was destroyed and it was all back to Barbieworld again. Ken was just promised some nights for him to have fun with Barbie. Is that what we should do in real world too?xD
I also expected more meaning from scenes with Billie's song. They were just... random people flashing on the screen. It was impossible to understand Barbie's reasoning.
Barbie then goes to the real world but... she doesn't change anything there (here:p). She goes to a gynecologist just like silly little girls do in their silly little world... And she is dressed in... nude brown. Okay, she might be done with pink, but why not explore herself in other interesting colours then?:(
Is the movie suggesting that things which our woman hero loved and surrounded herself with everyday, were forced on her? And they weren't extentions of her personality? Damn.
And wth was the scene with exploding baby dolls' heads for?xd
