Colin Farrell is captivating. The acting, cinematography, story all work to create a truly interesting series.

The first hour is far too fragmented, far too much music and very little dialogue. There were several GOT time jumping moments that leaves one shaking their head thinking how did that happen or why did that happen? There were moments contributing to the richness of the main characters' development and plots but those moments were cut far too short and/or taken in a direction that undercut them. Overall I feel there was so much missed opportunity to truly explain and wrap up a character compelling saga ending.

7 episodes in I am editing my review. Still giving it 4 stars but I wish I could give it a 3.5. Pros:. The locations, cinematography, the music, the actors being mostly cast well, the sub-plots have potential for good development Cons: the pacing, the lack of development to further the sub-plots, the dialogue, basically the story writers have failed the production and the inexperience of the showrunners works against the writing issue being fixed. Sad, I was hopeful in the beginning.

Really enjoying this show. The acting is very good and Toni Collette is fantastic. I have not read the novel, but the premise of show has prompted many discussions within my circle of women friends.

Enjoyed this series, more so once the time line aspects were evident. Have not read the books and short stories but definitely will be soon.
