“The Art of Self-Defense”: Very unique directing style. Similar with the main chara the cinematography it’s very awkward in a good way. Idk how to explain it, the music combined with the way things are framed gives it a very awkward feel towards it. Simply put simple story with complex chara and script to go along, an homage of the martial arts genre. Really made feel bad for a tiny dog, watered my eyes a bit. As mc progress as with the belts progression the story gets darker and darker and still managing to keep its dark comedic vibe. Nice twist ending with couple cool small fights that super thrilling.

“Crazy Stupid Love”: This movie is the reason why I just don’t love Hollywood anymore. So there I am enjoying my life and I see this guy who’s hit rock bottom after his wife had an affair. As the good pedestrian that I am, I decided out of the kindness of my heart to help him not only regain his rizz game up but also help him get his wife back. I’ll take a moment to thank the “King” for teaching me this lesson, that I now have entrusted towards this man Steve carrell. You guessed it “never back down never give up” on what you say? On love which the movie brilliantly and beautifully used. Talk about Kanye paparazzi, these Hollywood paparazzi are some sneaky ah one piece bounty poster photographers. Cannot believe they were recording me that whole time. Can you guys believe that, I’m suing. Really great rom, the crazy and stupid side of it the comedic hit a lot for me. Ryan Gosling Is literally me.

The Godfather made me an offer for my top movies that I just couldn’t refuse. Just when I thought it couldn’t possible get any better, GF2 bang, GF3 bang, absolutely and completely hitting my expectations outta the park. Lately, I have been finding myself moving away from heavy action and opting out for rich, in wise, metaphoric dialogue, heavy cinema pieces. It was more climactic than expected, a perfect blend between complex dialogue, chara, story and action. Blowing me away in the process, it had what I was searching for then from the shadows, rising so much action that I wasn’t expecting in a good way of course. The cinematography: from the framing composition, camera placement to where there is always this tension, the way it’s filmed, as if it’s an action happening. This added a lot to the surprise factor in twists and turns. Similar to staring into the abyss, sucking you into the scene to when you then realize something unexpected is about to happen. The acting: Marlon Brando I’ve said this countless times in terms of body acting. Bernthal is one of the best to do it and Brando is close to it. Facial acting of Vito and body as-well, it’s as natural as it gets. Scenes as “look how they massacred my boy”, conducting business and “I never wanted this for you” are proof and testimony to that claim. Vito and Michael Corleone are two of the best written chara I’ve ever seen. Two sides of the same coin; to be loved or to be feared? Where Vito is quick to forgive, Michael is quick to punish. Vito is a man who basically has gained everything, a wise and just man that all he can do now is give. Give everything, knowledge, wisdom all. Similar to Newgate family over pleasure, power, wealth and violence. This is why he was the most successful Godfather really. Di Niro and sequel had to follow up the amazing performance to fill the shoes of this great Goliath of a chara and the story they did well. GF2 takes everything that made GF1 great, then builds upon its foundation one of the best scripts and dialogue, a worthy successor in Di Niro and in world it built that it succeed its original. GF3 ending act the performance by Al is to cry for. I appreciate the fact that this trilogy focuses on the consequences of living the lifestyle of a mafia mob, rather than the good. Unintentionally glorifying it which is a plus. I know a hit movie when I see it and these my friends is a hit.

"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good." This single-handed quote or just “Greed” is the idea that is explored not just by the characters but by the stock market industry and the guys behind it, all the stockbrokers. We’re following Bud Fox as he ascends his way up through the stock trading business taking place on Wall Street during 1985 under the guidance of Gordon Gekko. “The Art Of War Sun Tzu” Mr. Gekko himself, is this despicable, sociopathic on the surface, but when you start peeling the layers, we get a charming, cunning, strategist and multilayered businessman. My second fav antagonist. He's second only to Keyser Soze. Time being of essence, at a runtime of just little over 2h, it does a tremendous job selling you to the story of the world of Wall Street and the stock market system, having almost no time or scene being wasted. Money talks and so does the script and dialogue, but it ain’t worth much if the acting ain’t anything but the best. Luckily, this is where it shines. I mean actor Gekko won an Oscar for it. The chemistry between each of the cast is insanely good, especially the dynamic mentor student duo of Gekko and Bud. The acting and story in the final act are very thrilling and entertaining to watch play out and really goes into an all-time high the whole of the final act having everything just work together beautifully and flawlessly. Bud chara being baited and hooked into the corrupt world of Gekko and also being used and fed this lifestyle of greed, cars, sex, money and, in conclusion, having to pay the price for living that lifestyle, trying to find some sort of redemption. An underrated masterpiece of a movie.

No matter how many times I watch it this movie almost manages to hit deep for me. A in way ironic redemption, watchin ye sure before seen Vinland with theme to this but with after “I have no enemies” pov towards it just hits even harder. Story that parallels Vinland in a way, trying to leave your past behind and still being haunted by it trying to start a family seeing a lot of your old self in your youngling glorying wt u have worked so hard to leave behind a world of violence. Story about changes, lessons and consequences. Just a beautifully crafted movie left at simple story plot but managing to leave a huge huge impact and asking the question can a person change, find redemption after so many blood shed evil he puts out. A love letter rightfully fitting to the once known Billy the kid.

One of a smaller number of people I respected and the only person I had envied.” Rush an amazing biopic based on true story movie that takes you on a fast passed thrilling ride. It tells the rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda but really was more of a friend ship than a rivalry, the beginning to their end and reign. Though being two hour long it faithfully about 6 or so years pretty accurate, capturing the highlights key moments of their life. Their personalities the Hunt “life on the edge” and “it’s just business” lifestyles them being really polar opposites very entertaining watching it play out. Really using each other to motivate each other not not just be better racers but a better man, a better friend. It being my first Formula 1 movie seen, it’s set the bar really high it’s gonna be hard for others to out maneuver it and pass it, indeed not only rushing to the finishing credits in style but also parking into one of my fav movies. Having the name “Rush” it takes its time introducing the two the world of Formula 1 racing, the industry and the consequences for living life inside of a “coffin surrounded by high octane fuel being driven round 170 miles per hour. Not knowing much about them the ending just hit so hard felt as if crashin into wall just thinking about their real life. Beautifully shot as seen on the Japan race and other aswell with some really well positioned camera shots makes you not only feel as the driver but the car, race track and the spectators. My only wish was that I was there two see these two greats in their prime I would of went to one of their race.
