I thought this to be pro china propaganda. Atypical wealthy Chinese family with access to party officials and medical care. All comparisons between Western and Chinese society were, in my opinion, in favor of Chinese culture. Supposedly stronger family ties in China. Easier ability to be a millionaire in China. Equivocal answers when main character was asked to compare Chinese and American life. I left the movie feeling I should be envious of China. I am not.
