Went into this movie because I had nothing else to do, not expecting much. I'm giving this a 3 star review due to the horror aspect missing, but the plot and the script was all around good. The plot twists were great and kept me waiting to see what was next. The fake out ending could have been executed better, but was still cool to see and it leaves you questioning how reliable the ending we got is. The movie starts slow to develop characters which are unfortunately your very commen types, yet they manage them surprisingly well. The stepmother trying to win over 2 daughters while the angsty teenager hates her guts and wants her real mother. The youngest of the daughter, seeing a demon like creature that no one else can, and the husband who doesn't really live past that role Tropes and characters might be basic, with horror being there in small predictable jump-scares, but the story manages to make it like a fun horror fantasy. Would recommend a watch if you have the time.
