If you thought the Russell Crowe version of the Robin Hood legend was a turkey get a load of this and weep. An absurd, anachronistic and feeble attempt at a postmodern, politically correct re-rendering of the Robin Hood story. Mindless capering, spiritless acting, awful dialogue. Medieval English soldiers dressed up like Gulf war vets speaking in a combination of Dick Van Dyke cockney and American street slang. Silly video game camerawork, a script so bad it doesn’t deserve to be called a script. Plotless, pointless and utterly without depth or meaning. It’s hard to judge which is the most cringeworthy - the laughably bad acting or the appalling direction. The worst 1:99 you’ll spend this year, but worth it just so you’ll never complain about a movie being bad again.
