General Jake

this show is amazing but it has a few things everyone complains about so let me explain those. (spoilers) 1. the time travel works because its using the short gag of vegan powers and expanding that concept. something that every adaptation should do. 2. the plot revolving around Ramona instead works because scott still learns and devlops by meeting his future selves meanwhile ramona got zero development in the original movie. 3. scott will not become future scott because hes seen that possibility of the future and will never go down the same path.

this story has unironically changed my life. the seemingly basic story at the start was able to rope me in and keep my attention well but as the story got more and more advanced the further I got in I could feel as if the story was growing with me. reading the manga I can confirm the story is only getting better and better and while at first it seems your just watching a funny pirate man trying to find his treasure as the story goes on you can see that this isn't some kinda fetch quest this is the journey to true freedom. the showings of violence and oppression of the world government on anyone who dares to stand against them makes it clear that this isnt some kids show anymore. zoros speech in baratie and luffys after marineford is what motivated me to get my life in order and start actually working to fix it instead of complain again and again. I would give anything to watch this show for the first time again without any spoilers and you shouldnt listen to the people rating this a 1.

to be honest I don't know why so many people seem to hate this movie. I mean sure it does have it's plot holes like how the hell did they get a video of his wife walking around freely when she was apparently bed ridden for 5 years and the location of the nomad is confusing but personally I still think it was a good movie. the twist with the nuke being a coding error seems implausible to blame on AI at first but if you think about it with how vulnerable people would be after that it makes sense people would believe it. but overall if they spent more times actually developing the characters it would have been great because the only ones that actually got any growth were the mc and alphie so it felt like we were lacking a villian for the majority of the movie.
