Personally I found Cynthia Li's book to be insightful, delightful, generously informative in that she shares her full body experience, mind, and soulful feelings of her journey from knock-you-down-flat health challenges to being able to live a full life with energy for that which is the most important to her. She also shares vital knowledge gathered not only from her extensive education, but also pertinent steps found through direct exploration and experience to gain optimal health. Her heart-to-heart, mind-to-mind open vista of sharing helps to bring home the truth of that which she shares, making all the more credible and inviting to apply; at the very least some of her suggestions, and perhaps even the majority. In addition, she encourages one to choose an individual path through exploration of one's own feelings and intuition for that which could work best personally, which is refreshing coming from a Western-trained doctor.
I am absolutely delighted with her perspective and all she has shared. I am sure I will return not only to her book, Brave New Medicine, but also her webpage for Nutrient Dense Cooking. Certainly I could easily consider her a friend as well as a doctor.
