I've seen the reviews that are making the huge assumption that the only negative reviews are coming from Trump supporters. First of all I love Stephen King and always have. Second of all I don't always agree with everything he does in a book because I'm capable of having my own opinions. Third he could have bashed Trump and given a few of his left wing opinions without making a book oversaturated with them. I always expect some of that and normally it doesn't affect my opinion on the book. I don't consider myself right or left wing as much as just really not wanting to deal with an agenda in my entertainment. I am very against Trump and his supporters. I think anyone that doesn't understand why masks were being worn is either uneducated, ignorant, or just plain stubborn. That also goes for vaccinations. I despise racism from any group and towards any group. I believe people should do what they feel is best as long as they don't hurt anyone else. Yep with all those personal opinions I don't want to read about those things in nearly every paragraph of a book. There is so much us versus them agenda spewing out of every orifice of this book that it really turns me off as a reader. This is fiction from a writer that mostly writes horror/fantasy. There is enough political garbage going on in the world without me needing my Entertainment to be drowned with it. I love Holly as a character and I can understand her bringing up some of these topics. That being said around the 4th or 5th time that someone was being asked if they've been vaccinated to a response of yeah double and their specific dose of vaccine I was really over it. It makes the whole thing absurd. Sprinkle in your political beliefs if you want but if you need to gut punch your audience with them throughout your entire story then you are definitely doing something wrong. Far from his best work...
