This could have been a very good story if the ending was not rushed. Their breaking up and the immaturity of the female lead was too selfish. While the male lead already forgave her father so easily because he loves her, she should have been grateful and treated him with love instead of breaking his heart. On the comedic side, it was funny and all the actors were very good. But the storyline in the end was such an epic fail that I found the good parts gone to waste. What the hell was the director and writer thinking when they made the ending that way? It was an open-ended and very ugly ending. I would have wanted some romance and at least a clearer picture of the couple getting back together, instead of putting the audience in limbo.

Apart from the fact that Park Hyung Sik is such a cutie, I don't think this is really worth watching. It was boring all throughout and there was really nothing climactic. Maybe it's just me or not my cup of tea.

This should have been titled "Heartbreak" not "Heartbeat." The actors were all good and they had great chemistry. Also, the storyline was quite good from the beginning. but the ending ruined everything. The writer and director did not even consider doing a twist to allow Sun Woo-Hyeol (Taec Yeon) to live on. And YES, he died! I would have accepted if he just lived, human or not. All the struggles he went through just to die in the end and be just a memory in the end was totally bad. Seriously, it was the first time I cursed whoever wrote or thought of the ending. I've watched other K-dramas with bad endings, but by far this is the worst. I'm not sure if there will be any Season 2 but if it's the same bad ending, I'm not looking forward to it. If you're cruel and like bad endings, then watch this. If you like happy endings, better skip this one and look for something worth your time.
