(spoilers) This game had such good potential, especially after the first one which is probably my all time favourite game. However, they completely forgot what made the first one so special: the bond both Ellie and Joel had. Their relationship over the course of the first game was great and I loved playing and watching them both develop as characters. Instead of continuing this, they kill Joel within 2 hours of gameplay. They made Ellie selfish and by the end of the game unlikeable. I just got so bored, especially when I was forced to play as Abby (the person who killed Joel) for about 8 hours. It just became a chore to play. After you power on through you are finally rewarded at the end of the game when you finally get your revenge. Just kidding, you go after Abby again just to let her live and you lose everything. I get the message how revenge isn’t always the way blah blah but it’s just so anti climatic. One of the best things for me was the graphics. The entire game looks stunning during both cut scenes and gameplay; the lighting is spot on and makes everything look so real. If you’re going to play it just don’t expect it to be anywhere near as good as the first.
