The story was definitely batman. It's like the director opened the source material and said I will take the elements in this book and make a movie that makes you feel like the books make you feel after reading them.

Everyday I get reminders on my phone about how this is the worse x-men movie ever. One week later I go watch it and was only left wondering why? I think everyone wanted this to be end game in caliber. Was the movie good? Yeah! It was entertaining, heartfelt, intense, and a good x-men film. It's not Logan, it's not, avengers end game, buts its a good ending for the x-men first class continuity. Go watch it! Don't listen to the reviews or critics that seem to want to destroy this film.
