I'm really surprised by the low ratings on here. This was the most original approach to an alien movie I've seen in a long time. It was beautifully shot, and had great acting and compelling characters; I loved it. I saw it in theaters but just watched it at home a second time and still just really loved it.

Why would you make McDonalds Happy Meal toys to promote a movie so full of death and animal torture? The 1 star is mainly because of how messed up it was to advertise this movie so hard to kids. This movie was disturbing for adults! If it had been advertised as such, that would have been one thing, but my kid has been hyped for this for so long and the promotions are everywhere. We loved the first two and the Christmas special and the new DisneyWorld ride, nothing that would have indicated we should expect this amount of dark content. It’s been extremely disappointing to tell him that he can’t see it after all that. I’m just glad I was warned to screen it before taking him.
