I can only highlight two positive aspects of this movie:
1. The animation was impressive.
2. It incorporated features characters from older Disney animations.
However, there are significant drawbacks to consider:
1. The plot was disjointed and lacked coherence.
2. The transformation of the once admirable hero and king, Magnifico, into a power-hungry villain feels forced. This shift diminishes the depth of his character, turning him into a stereotypical, negative portrayal of masculinity.
3. Asha, the protagonist, comes across as self-absorbed and arrogant. While acknowledging the importance of wishes and dreams, the movie portrays her as selfishly undermining the king's benevolent rule, despite people willingly offering their wishes for the greater good. All these could have been avoided with just a conversation.
