Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and
Clay. Totally original and soo likeable and enjoyable. I’d love to find another book like this but doubt if there is one. Although quite different it’s totally on a par w the Nazi era Bernie Gunther pleasure reads by Phillip Kerr (of which I’ve read all 12)
Come to think, would not b surprised at all to discover that Kerr was his major influence
