Leah IS annabeth. from the moment i first saw her on screen the annabeth energy was PRESENT and DID NOT LEAVE. aryan ate up grover, he was one of my faves and he CAME TO LIFE on screen. could not be happier with the casting for clarisse, that scream when percy broke her spear? ICONIC. luke was just as charming as he was in the books and i know when he betrays percy it will DEVASTATE me. anyone who claims to be a book fan and has an issue with the casting truly doesn’t understand the characters because they were all THERE and they all absolutely EMBODIED their roles. the characters were brought to life in the most perfect way possible, and i can’t wait to see even more of them in later episodes. i will defend this casting WITH MY LIFE. the camp looks magical and exactly as i pictured, especially the poseidon cabin. i am a diehard book fan, i’ve read all the series and they have changed my life in so many ways. percy jackson was and still is my #1 series, i recommend it to everyone and now i plan on recommending the show, too. as a reader who has been around since the original 5 books, i felt so immersed and represented. i could not be more excited to watch the series play out on screen, and I know it’s going to be excellent. i feel bad for the other og readers who can’t get past their own prejudices and stubbornness to truly enjoy the adaptation we have been waiting and begging for. the energy, personality, and nostalgia from the books is all there and anyone who says differently definitely needs to reread, rewatch, and reconsider.
